Korean Carrier Jin Air Flies To China In October

In October 2009 Jin Air, the premium short-haul carrier established in 2008 by Korean Air, will open its first international routes to cities in China and Thailand.

Prior to its international debut, Jin Air will expand its fleet as its network increases from this month. Jin Air will operate a total of five Boeing 737-800 aircraft, purchasing one in April 2009 and another later in the year.

Jae Kun Kim, CEO of Jin Air states that safety is a prime consideration for the airline saying: "Prior to international service inauguration, we have confirmed our global standards of safety by achieving a IOSA registration certificate, a globally acknowledged airline safety audit program."

He added, "We believe that Jin Air will become a leading global premium short-haul carrier, exhibiting world-standard safety and convenience at a reasonable price for the traveling public. We will make steady efforts to meet customers' needs by cultivating more short and medium-haul routes in the future."
