Guiyang To Publish Three Tourism Regulations
Guiyang, the capital city of Guizhou province in southwest China, is about to publish three local regulations related to tourism.
The three regulations are expected to cover the job skills of tourism industry practitioners; the establishment and service criteria for travel agency outlets; and the equipment and service criteria for rafting.
The job skills regulation makes requirements on the management and service personnel of tourist hotels and tourist areas; the management and tour guides of travel agencies; and travel safety management. The criteria for travel agencies prescribes the space, infrastructure, safety, and other factors for travel agency outlets. The criteria on rafting has makes specific requirements on rafting equipment and facilities, safety management, and service quality.
In early May 2009, Guiyang Bureau of Quality & Technical Supervision issued four local standards on tourism services for rural tourism, hot spring tourism and summer resorts.
