CNTA Publishes Results Of Annual Travel Agency Inspection

The Chinese National Tourism Administration recently published the results of its annual inspection of travel agencies for the year of 2008.

In 2008, CNTA inspected 20,691 travel agencies across China, of which 19,626 passed the inspection. These include 1,917 international travel agencies and 17,709 domestic travel agencies. Another 692 agencies (42 international and 650 domestic travel agencies) will be inspected later, and 373 (11 international and 362 domestic agencies) failed to pass the inspection.

The 11 international agencies that failed to pass the annual inspection are: Beijing Haixia Dongnan International Service; Liaoning Baima International Service; Yanbian Far East International Travel Service in Jilin; Hegang International Service in Heilongjiang; Tiantai China International Service in Zhejiang; Jiangxi Guomao International Service; Hunan Meicheng International Service; Guangdong Southern International Aviation Travel Service and Guangzhou Jinyue International Service; Chongqing Lanniao International Service; and Xinjiang Turpan China International Travel Service.
