Sum Takes Up The Reigns At Courtyard By Marriott Suzhou

Marriott International has announced the appointment of Tony Sum as the general manager of Courtyard by Marriott Suzhou, which is scheduled to open in the summer of 2010.

He was the resident manager of the Ningbo Marriott Hotel since 2008 having first joined the Marriott Group in 1997 as director of food and beverage at China Hotel, a Marriott hotel, in Guangzhou. He was promoted to executive assistant manager in 1998 there and then moved to Shanghai Renaissance Pudong Hotel in the position of director of operations, a post he held for the next four and a half years.
