Zhejiang Xitang Releases Tourism Brand Experience Index

The ancient town of Xitang in Zhejiang province has released the Xitang Tourism Brand Experience Index to implement a quantitative assessment of the trademarks of stores in the Xitang scenic area.

Xitang is a typical Chinese water town to the south of the Yangtze River and is located at the junction of the provinces of Jiangsu and Zhejiang, and the metropolis of Shanghai. It is the largest and most complete ancient town in the south of the Yangtze River.

The compilers of the Xitang Tourism Brand Experience Index have assessed 27 indexes in six areas covering the radiation width of trademarks, the inheritance of primitive environmental facilities, the coordination between operators and consumers, social reputation, innovative development of trademarks, and other criteria. There is a list at the entrance of the Xitang scenic area showing these trademarks and their brand index to tourists.

Representatives from over 20 famous scenic areas in Zhejiang have signed Xitang Declaration on Implementation of Tourism Branding Strategy, expressing consensus on topics such as Expo tourism, low-carbon tourism, quality management, culture dissemination, and integrated marketing.
