Jiaozuo To Hold 2010 Yuntai Mountain International Tourism Festival
The 2010 Yuntai Mountain International Tourism Festival will be held in Jiaozuo City in northern Henan Province, between October 23, 2010, and October 27, 2010.
The festival is aimed at promoting Yuntai Mountain Geological Park in the domestic and global tourism markets. The 9th Yuntai Mountain International Tourism Festival, formerly known as Jiaozuo International Landscape Travel Festival, is jointly organized by the National Tourism Administration and the Henan provincial government.
This year's festival will present large-scale theatrical performances, host the 2010 Annual Sub-Committee Meeting on Tourism of NEAR (the Association of North East Asia Regional Governments), and launch the China Yuntain Mountain photography contest.
In 2004 Yuntai Mountain was in first group of sites from around the world to receive the title of World Geologic Park from UNESCO.
In the first half of this year, Jiaozuo's scenic spots received 9.85 million tourists and earned CNY7.38 billion in tourism revenue.
