UN WFA Gala Dinner At Swissotel Beijing

A UN World Food Programme fund raising gala dinner was held in the Grand Ballroom of Swissotel Beijing recently. This Event was organized by the Embassy of Peru, Swissotel Beijing, and Swissotel Lima, in collaboration with the UN WFP and CFPA China. During the evening, Josette Sheeran, the UN WFP executive director; H.E. Harold Forsyth, the ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Peru to China; and Jack Breisacher, the general manager of Swissotel Beijing, jointly handed over a donation of CNY102,000 to Lin Liyun, the honorary president and representative of the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation. The donation will be used to provide nutritious meals for poor students in rural areas of China.
