Chan Takes Up The Reins At Crowne Plaza Maanshan
InterContinental Hotels Group has announced the appointment of Richard Chan as the general manager of Crowne Plaza Maanshan.
The holder of an MBA from the University of Leicester, a Cornel EMBA certificate and several certificates in hotel management, Chan has worked in the hotel industry for 20 years, with most of that time spent in China. Prior to this appointment, he served as the hotel manager of Crowne Plaza Paragon Xiamen and helped the hotel to pass the assessment for its star-rating. Before that, he held senior management positions and was a core member of the opening team in Crowne Plaza Century Park Shanghai and at the Eton Hotel Shanghai. Before joining IHG Chan worked in many other international hotels across Asia including the Shangri-La, Westin Stamford, and Mandarin Singapore. He is bilingual in English and Chinese and he is also fluent in three Chinese dialects.
