IHG Forms Strategic Partnership With TravelSky

InterContinental Hotels Group has formed a strategic partnership with TravelSky Holding Company to establish direct connectivity in its global distribution system.

The partnership will result in the addition of more than 120 hotels across all IHG brands, covering InterContinental Hotels and Resorts, Crowne Plaza Hotels and Resorts, Holiday Inn Hotels and Resorts, and Holiday Inn Express, to the hotel selection on TravelSky's GDS.

TravelSky is one of China's leading providers of information technology and commercial services in the air travel and tourism industries and its GDS is used by more than 8,000 local travel agencies. IHG is reported to be the first international hotel chain to complete direct connectivity with Travelsky for all its hotels in China.

According to Keith Barr, the managing director of IHG Greater China, the group is continually seeking to extend the reach of its brands and to increase the value of its booking services for its customers. He added that he was delighted to work with Travelsky in such a way that will greatly benefit IHG's guests.

Xu Qiang, the president of TravelSky Technology Limited stated that he believed that their co-operation with the world's largest hotel group will speed up the process and enable them to achieve their goal of building a global distribution system.
