Crowne Plaza Century Park Shanghai Hires Executives

Crowne Plaza Century Park Shanghai has made two important executive appointments.

Theo Pauly has been appointed general manager of the hotel. He has over 16 years working experience with InterContinental Hotels Group, including roles as general manager at Crowne Plaza Heidelberg, Germany; regional general manager of Crowne Plaza Hotels Eastern Europe; and director of operations for Germany South for all of IHG's brands. Pauly joins Crowne Plaza Century Park Shanghai from his more recent roles including the pre-opening of the Jin Jiang International Hotel, Wuhan, where he was general manager. His Middle East experience includes managing Bahrain’s largest five-star hotel, the Gulf Hotel Bahrain.

Jenny Soo is the hotel's new director of sales and marketing. She has over 25 years experience in the hospitality and tourism industry in the Asia Pacific region with international hotels brands including Hilton, Beaufort Hotels and Accor. Soo's industry experience covers a wide spectrum including roles as events manager, catering manager, professional conference organizer and director of sales and marketing. Prior to her current position, she was the director of sales and marketing at the Sofitel Wentworth Sydney.
