China Adds 70 National 4A Grade Tourist Attractions

The China National Tourism Administration has issued a notice that 70 domestic scenic spots have been approved to be national 4A grade tourist attractions.

The notice says that according to national standards and management regulations of The Classification and Evaluation of the Quality Grades of Tourist Areas, 70 tourist attractions around China have been initially assessed and recommended by the tourist area quality grade evaluation commissions of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, and finally identified by the National Tourist Area Quality Grade Evaluation Commission. After assessment, these 70 tourist areas met the requirements for national 4A grade tourist attractions.

They include three in Beijing; five in Hebei; two in Shanxi; three in Jilin; one in Shanghai; one in Jiangsu; seven in Zhejiang; four in Anhui; two in Fujian; six in Jiangxi; eight in Shandong; nine in Hubei; one in Guangdong; four in Guangxi; eleven in Sichuan; and three in Xinjiang.
